BOFU Blog Content

Overview

I create BOFU blog content for buyers who are actively comparing software and narrowing their options. The work is informed by customer interviews and internal insight, focusing on clear differentiation and side-by-side comparison so buyers can understand fit before engaging with sales.

Types of BOFU posts

  • Software review guides

  • “Best for” software roundups

  • Technical implementation guides

  • Use case articles

  • Customer case studies

  • Competitor comparison pages

  • Alternative pages

  • Reports

  • Executive thought leadership

How I approach BOFU content

The work starts with understanding:

  • The core problem the buyer is trying to solve

  • The pain points that surface in sales calls and support tickets

  • What’s at stake if nothing changes

  • The jobs the product needs to support

  • Use cases and workflows buyers care about most

From there, I map how decision-makers evaluate solutions during the evaluation stage:

  • Trigger events that push them to act

  • The business goals tied to solving the problem

  • Objections or hesitations that stall decisions

  • The value propositions that matter most to those goals

  • Features, integrations, and customer support considerations they care about

  • The competitors they’re actively considering

  • Why customers ultimately choose one solution over another

  • Calls to action aligned with buyer readiness

What informs the work

This insight comes first from your customer interviews, then internal team interviews, supported by hands-on product usage, competitor testing, and your SEO research.

What you get

Content briefs, outlines, and BOFU articles that answer buyer questions, clarify fit, and help buyers decide whether a solution is worth moving forward with a demo or free trial.

Additional content support

E-books

Long-form BOFU assets used by sales and growth teams to support late-stage evaluation and buying conversations.

White Papers

Documents that walk buyers through product info and implementation details before committing.

Social Media Content

Short-form posts that promote BOFU blog posts and drive qualified traffic back to evaluation pages.

My process

1. Discovery & alignment

We align on your product, customers, goals, and where BOFU content needs to support decision-making.

2. Content development

I gather customer and internal insight, analyze competitors, and create content that helps buyers assess fit.

3. Review & delivery

You review the draft, we do one round of revisions, and I deliver content ready to publish and use for sales enablement.

Pricing

BOFU blog content starts at $1,000 per post
(typically ~1,500 words)

Pricing reflects the depth required for evaluation-stage content, including product, customer, and competitor research, as well as content development. Final pricing depends on topic complexity, research depth, and whether internal interviews or hands-on product testing are required.

Larger or multi-asset projects, such as case studies, white papers, or reports, are quoted individually.

What’s included

  • Evaluation-stage research: Customer interviews, internal team input, and review competitor documents to understand buyer questions and what actually matters during evaluation.

  • BOFU content development: Content briefs, outlines, and BOFU articles built around real buyer concerns to help compare options and assess fit.

  • Review & delivery: One round of revisions, with final content delivered ready to publish and use for sales enablement.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do you offer monthly retainer packages?

Yes. Most clients work with me on an ongoing basis to support steady demo and free trial growth through BOFU content.

Can we start with a trial project?

Absolutely. Many teams start with a one-off project before moving into a longer-term engagement.

Do you handle keyword research?

I don’t provide keyword research. I work best with teams that have an in-house SEO specialist or agency defining BOFU keywords and search intent, so I can focus on creating BOFU content that supports buyer decisions.

What are your turnaround times?

Most BOFU posts are delivered in about two weeks after all required information is received, including customer interviews, SME interviews, and product information. More research-heavy projects may require additional time.
